Fellow Gold wingers I don't know about you but I really wish this weather would break so we can start riding again. Cheryl and I continue to do our best to recruit New Members as well as to retain our Expiring Members. We have signed two New Members this Month and just maybe we will have signed two more by the time we meet at our Monthly Meeting in March. I have been working hard on two more and hopefully I will have them signed by our Meeting.

I still want to extend my challenge to each of you to bring one guest to our March meeting and the rest of the spring as well. I along with My Lovely Cheryl are looking forward to the Rallies this year, we are planning on attending each of them, and will proudly represent each of you as your Membership Enhancement Coordinators and Chapter Couple

Come join us, we are looking forward to the fun.

The Directors' Sayings:

Cecil, Pam, Eric and Brenda, Dianne and I just attended the District year end meeting in Stroud. Thanks to Tom Hankins, our treasurer, we sailed through the financials without any problems. Great job, Tom! For those of you that didn't make it to the Valentine's party, you missed a great party. (more on that in another article). Congratulations to Dan and Cheryl who became engaged at the party. Good job Dan!!! Nice ring.

GWRRA has asked everyone from Region on down to encourage our members to attend at least two rallies this year. There are a bunch to choose from and there are a lot of things to do at the Rallies.  GWRRA is about education, so there are seminars all weekend about things that are important not only to  our safety, but to our ability to have fun doing what we love. I would love to see everyone take the "Road Captains" course. Whether you ever want to lead or donkey a group or not, it will give you a better understanding of why we do things the way we do. A Rally is an excellent place to pick up CPR, first-aid or leadership classes. Maybe you can improve your riding skills through some of the riding seminars.I have personally wanted to take the class on remembering names.  Unfortunately, I keep forgetting  to attend.  Besides the Safety and knowledge aspect of the rally, there is the FUN. All weekend long there are games, events, dances and talent?? shows. But the best part of it all is the chance to see old friends and make new ones. Go to the rallies-- you'll be glad you did.

This has been one of the coldest, wettest, nastiest winters we have had in Oklahoma in years. That being said, we have still managed to have a good time. Our Friday and Sunday dinner rides have continued to grow, individual participation has been phenomenal. In spite of the weather, we've managed to have fun. Just wait until we can get the bikes out. On that note, be sure to change your oil, check your tires and give your Wing a good going over (TCLOCK)

Remember, The bend in the Road’s not the End of the Road Unless you miss the Turn.
