FROM
YOUR ASSISTANT DIRECTORS
Hello Everyone!
Cecil and I are looking forward to a little warmth and sunshine so we can all get out and ride! It doesn't look
good
at the moment because
while writing this article they are talking about snow!!
We just wanted to tell everyone what a great time
we had at the Valentine's Party at the Owasso Sr Citizens Center.
The facility was great and the food was wonderful as always. For those
who didn't get to come to the party, we had brisket
and turkey left over from our Christmas Party and we made sandwiches and everyone brought
appetizers, side dishes and desserts.
Cindy, our decorating queen, provided decorations for all the tables
and it was beautiful. We brought "dirty cupid" gifts and
it was so much fun opening the gifts
and trying to keep them. We would like to thank everyone for their help. You made it a great success.
We don't have a party scheduled next month, but we do have the Region Rally in Marshall, TX.
We hope to see all of you there.
We will have a great time.
Recipe Of The Month
Taco Soup
3 cans of beans (I use one of kidney, black and chili beans)
1 can of corn
2 15oz cans of diced tomatoes
1 can rotel
2 cans green chilies
2 lb. gound beef
1 chopped onion
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg ranch
dressing mix
Brown ground beef and add chopped onions and cook until tender. Open all cans and add to ground
beef and then add dry
taco
seasoning mix and ranch dressing mix. Stir until mixed thoroughly and let simmer for 30 minutes or put in crockpot and
put
on low for six hours.
I usually serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and fritos
or tostitos.
